BLACK Fashion DESIGNERS are a Rarity in the INDUSTRY

As Fashion lovers and followers at Liberian stars View. We found ourselves wondering, will the fashion World ever acknowledge and celebrate Black designers ? And also is there any Black fashion designer within the industry whom can be listed amongst the greats?  Such as Channel,  Versace,  Dior,  Alexander McQueen and so on.  For a moment we almost lost hope, however after doing some research we discovered many Successful ( yes!  SUCCESSFUL) and talented BLACK Fashion designers Such as OZWALD BOATENG,  who is not commercial but have paved the way for designers of color by creating opportunities.

* Many of Ozwald BOATENG suits can be seen on the red carpet, worn by celebrities such as Jamie Foxx, James Bond, Will Smith and many A lists Celebrities. 

* He is a English (UK) designer , who originates from Ghana.

* Ozwald BOATENG Launched his Label in 1994 and has since became known for his tailoring skills and men suits.  

* BOATENG designed bespoke costumes for ocean thirteen and the matrix. 

* BOATENG was the youngest and first African Designer to open a store on Londons legendary Savile Row. 

* From 2004 to 2007 BOATENG worked as a creative director at GIVENCHY.  He helped revolutionize suiting
