The Annual Liberia Music Award 2014 , was held on the 14th of June in Atlanta Georgia ( United States ) . The event was dominated by Liberia Based Artists. However there is no doubt ,the ceremony formed mutual respect , working relationships and unity amongst Liberian Artists and Entertainers.

LMA Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient BIG STEVE :



James Elbert Phillips ( LROC ) ,  received a Lifetime Achievement Award and outstanding achievement award for his contribution to Music and entertainment.  The music producer and songwriter is a liberian native and also a staff at record producer Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def Recordings. He has co-written and co-produced Janet Jackson’s “Call on Me” , Monica’s “Everytime Tha Beat Drop”, Mariah Carey’s “Get Your Number”, Murphy Lee’s “Wat Dat Hook Gonna Be”, Usher’s “Yeah!”, LL Cool J’s “Control Myself,” and Nelly’s “Grillz”.



We look forward to next year ceremony ( LMA 2015  ).  Liberian musicians and producers ; be consistent and keep making Good music for Mama Liberia. We appreciate your efforts....  #LMA 2014

Here we are weeks after the most talked about events held in Monrovia, the Wiz Kid and Timaya show, sponsored by Sound City and Novaphone . Many opinions and views have been floating around the worldwide web, by supporters and non-supporters .  Whilst some may see these events to be an accomplishment for Liberians and a Gateway to numerous opportunities etc. At LSV , we believe these event are a wake up call, that WE as citizens have to take charge of our progressing entertainment industry . As the popular Liberian saying goes " The street wouldn't buy you , if your family doesn't sell you ".
