Today, Liberians commence a series of programs commemorating ten years of sucessive peace. During this time, ten years ago, we were all obsessed with our religious convictions, solely hoping on the earth's regulator for vindication as we prayed for friution in the ongoing peace negotiations. We had endure sufferings and turmoil for fourteen years and were now running low on Patience, many felt fustrated and eventualy resolved on the fact that we were cursed... but we were not. These sufferings were triggered in 1979 on the 14th day in April when indignant liberals aggregated their intellects, notifying the indigent citizenry of their abilities, their ablity to distort a government's policy in their favor. Most had been deprived of basic nessessaties and had sought a platform that'll articulate their feelings, and so, they were volatile. Feuled by their discontents, they endorsed the progressives reccomendation, they engaged in an action, blinfolded to it's implications.. they made a decision that changed the discourse of our nation forever. Ten years later, we again found ourselves in the depth of what we earlier stood against, this time, it was more revised and marred by brutality, those who cultivated the sucess of the earlier struggle promised the best but their leadership emulated and to an extent invented a gross form of atrocious governance. The people, fully aware of their abilities allied with their old enemies to topple the regime... a decision which begot implications that will live perpetually. 14 years later exhausted with the havoc caused, we took the road with the tag "Peace". Two years following, we entered the most amended chronicle of our nation which replicated the acts that precipitated our years of turmoil. They adored same theory as the past governments--- accumulating and hoarding the nation's wealth at the detriment of the legitimate owners. Unlike the past governments, they've maintained close tides with the west at whatever cost, and has incorporated every a member at least, of every sect of the Liberian society. This makes them distingushed although they pratice the same vices. The citizenry, flanged by many alternatives, are bieng thrusted into a position of retaliation, they have been latenly abused and manipulated till they'd lost their pride. The satuation now is tantamount to the events which spiked our conflict, as we will never wish on revisiting our past days, we'll urge our leadership to stop agitating the people and all accomplice to restrain as a future awaits where you'll account for your services randered the nation. Don't bargian your virtues for material incentives or because the "System says so". Let this day cause you to recur on our past days and inspire you to work in our country's intrest.

REMEMBER, THERE IS A FUTURE.
