Liberia Movie Star 2013 Competition

The Liberia Movie Star 2013 Competition was officially launched on Saturday- June 15 at a well attended ceremony held in Paynesville City at Jackerson Johnson’s compound where the reality show is ongoing. The launching program brought together top movie practitioners, media executives, representatives of Lonestar Cell/MTN, the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs & Tourim, and the general public.

The ceremony kicked off at 6:00pm shortly after the arrival of the contestants in a luxury bus with their suit cases and security escorts. Journalists ran to the buses, snapping photos and video taping the contestants as they walked majestically to their well prepared seats under a large blue Lonestar Cell/MTN’s Canopy. At 6:08pm, top Liberian comedian-cum-actor, Duke Murphy, took the stage as Master of Ceremony, briefly entertaining the audience and contestants with his classic punch lines (Jokes).

              Competition is produced by Platinum Entertainment and hosted by Popular       Liberian/African film actor- William Dream Debo.
The Liberia Movie Star 2013 Competition is produced by Platinum Entertainment and hosted by Popular Liberian/African film actor- William Dream Debo. The show is under the official sponsorship of Lonetar Cell/MTN (Inspiring Leadership). The reality show premiered on Love TV on Wednesday- June 19, 2013 at 10am, featuring the in-house activities and onstage performances of the contestants. Eviction process of the Contestants will commence next week Saturday base on public votes. Contestants are presently undergoing their grooming week.

Here we are weeks after the most talked about events held in Monrovia, the Wiz Kid and Timaya show, sponsored by Sound City and Novaphone . Rumors Swell Of A Deng-CIC Collaboration

Fans of Deng and C-I-C are once more nervously anxious as rumors swell of another round of will-they-or won't-they: LSV has confirmed that the managements of African Entertainment & SOG met at an undisclosed venue to begin talks of a collaboration. "I'm one hundred percent certain that this time it's a done deal; the public should expect a brand new single from both artists in a matter of weeks. It's a done deal." a source close to Deng told LSV. Rumors of a Deng-CIC collaboration have been filtering in the air since at least before CIC accident when Deng management initially abandoned talks to attend a concert in Europe.
